David launches Twin Construction (with William soon following)

2007 /

Classic Cabinets & Designs, LLC is established, later changing to Twin Cabinets, where we customize cabinets for our construction projects 

2011 /

With the growing request for interior design for our projects, Twin Interiors is created  to offer custom design and furniture services

2018 / 

Twin Construction in the 30A, Florida area is founded, breaking ground on custom coastal homes

2019 /

Twin begins offering Plan Design services where we can draft full drawings aligned with a client’s vision for a custom home or remodel

2022 /

Twin celebrates our 20th anniversary!

WHAT WE DO

Seeking a better way to build, twins William and David Siegel were frustrated with the landscape of the residential construction industry. Numerous friends and acquaintances would narrate horror stories of disappearing contractors, ballooning building budgets, and shoddy construction work. The industry has become saturated with home builders, disguised as building experts only to disappear once the work began, replaced with unfamiliar subcontractors and unanswered calls.

Here at Twin Construction, we have a combined 150+ years of experience among our owners and project managers. With the addition of our plan designers and interior designers, our vision is to design a home or renovation with integrity, commitment to quality, and open client-builder communication. Together with our team, we collaborate with you to create a meaningful design for you and your family.

Laurie Fulkerson

Interior Designer

Laurie grew up in Montgomery, AL and moved to Birmingham after graduating from Auburn University. She loves the process of working with the Twin Team and clients from the beginning to the end and designing a home that fits each client’s needs and personality. While she loves light and airy design, her favorite aspects of interior design are creating moody and dramatic spaces that include a variety of textures. Laurie enjoys the relationships she forms with her clients and has worked with clients in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and California.

Lydia Hurt

Interior Designer

A Birmingham native, Lydia earned her Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from Samford University. Upon graduation, Lydia worked for a residential developer as a plan designer before moving to a local architecture and interior design firm as an interior designer. Lydia is a registered Interior Designer with the state of Alabama and NCIDQ certified. With a passion for interior architecture, Lydia enjoys building relationships with her clients, striving to create homes for them that are both beautiful and functional.

Danielle Robin

Interior Designer

Danielle Robin is originally from Erie, Pennsylvania and has spent the last 10 years living in Chicago, Illinois. Prior to joining the Twin family, she graduated from Harrington College of Design with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design and worked as an Interior Designer at Environs Development with a concentration in high-end residential design.

This focus and range of clientele has helped Danielle to develop her professional, always positive, attitude and style. While her portfolio has proven to be versatile, she excels in listening to her clients and incorporating current trends to ensure the space is appealing to the masses.

Sara Giedinghagen

Cabinet Designer for twin cabinets

Sara attended Auburn University for Interior Design. In 2010, she began working in cabinet design and quickly discovered a passion for this niche. Since then, she’s worked on diverse projects with Twin Cabinets ranging from single furniture pieces to new construction spec homes and high-end, custom remodels. Sara loves analyzing spaces to come up with creative cabinet solutions for her customer’s needs.

Daniel Murphee

BIM Manager

Daniel is an Alabama Native, with a lifelong passion for creative thinking and design. Utilizing 18 years’ experience in Architectural design and a self-taught ambition in various cutting-edge software suites, he is piloting a new approach to Residential Architectural Design and in-field Construction collaboration at Twin Companies. His ambitions are to bridge the gap between client and contractor interactions while breathing new life into Residential Construction and Design. Through extensive modeling techniques, his team at Twin can put Homeowners into their homes well before construction begins. This unique approach allows an immersive and personal touch to the design process that assists in adding value to their homebuilding (or remodeling) experience. Seeing the faces of a Family light up when Daniel walks them through their homes digitally, and seeing a project through to construction has re-ignited his passion for construction and design.

 

Daniel enjoys spending his free time with his Wife (Rena), Daughter (Margaret), his menagerie of pets, exploring the outdoors, backyard gardening, and finds creative challenges invigorating.

Robbin Reese

Plan Designer

Robbin Reese hails from Birmingham, Alabama, where she grew up alongside her twin sister. She now brings her passion for design to the Twin family as a Plan Designer. Robbin graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Architecture, laying the foundation for her career in creating thoughtful, functional spaces.

Before joining Twin Companies, Robbin worked in the furnishings and wood design industries. She aspires to help clients create spaces with thoughtful planning and well-constructed details that adapt seamlessly for multiple generations.

In her spare time, she bikes, hikes, or plans backpacking trips with her boyfriend throughout the Southeast.

Joe Ellis

Architect

Joe originally hails from L.A. [Lower Alabama], where he spent his childhood in Enterprise, and developed his love of drawing and building. From an early age, Joe knew he wanted to study architecture, and fulfilled that dream by earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from Auburn University. Early in his career, Joe worked for firms in Nashville and Birmingham, and in 2004 he founded his own firm, focusing on his true interest of
residential architecture.
 
Joe strives for thoughtful place-making, and encourages a collaborative design approach
with each client.
 
Outside of work, Joe is married to Dianah and is a proud father to their three children –
Mercer, Shepherd and Martha May. Joe currently serves as an adjunct professor at Samford
University in the Architecture and Interior Design department.
 

Jeffrey Fowler

AIA Architect

Jeffrey Fowler hails from Louisiana, where his lifelong passion for architecture took root. A proud graduate of Louisiana State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, he has been a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) since 1999. With more than thirty years of experience, Jeffrey has excelled at all levels of the profession, establishing himself as an exceptional planner and designer.

Known for his openness to new ideas and methods, Jeffrey strives for design excellence and exceptional client service, working closely with like-minded design professionals. 

Outside of work, Jeffrey is married to Cathy and is a dedicated father to Kendall, Kate, and Corbett.
